C4UH successfully demonstrated how a simple open source solution can place PDMP alerts into the clinical workflow.  This worked very well, based on existing staffing and systems at varied sites across two states.  Established workflows were utilized, without requiring modifications, new roles or re-training. 

The proposed open source solution achieved a quick go-live and worked well, as reported in MITRE's program assessment. One of the C4UH pilot states is reported to successfully continue their state-wide diffusion of the C4UH-created PDMP service.

Above all else, both hospitals, their emergency departments, urgent care centers and community physician offices reported the way the C4UH PDMP solution works with all existing digital health solutions, including Certified EHR systems, with no need for extra development, interfacing, integration, training or changes to workflow. C4UH has never encountered any other solution that brings these time and cost saving attributes at any scale.
